ImTOO iPad Video Converter

ImTOO iPad Video Converter is a multi-format video converter. It has an excellent support for input files and it can convert them to H.264, MPEG-4, and MOV formats.

It also can convert the audio from video files into several formats, such as AAC, AIFF, M4A, MP3, and WAV.

ImTOO iPad Video Converter has a very nice user interface. It supports batch-mode processing, so you can add several files and convert them one after the other. There are ten different conversion profiles, though only three of them are optimized for the iPad. Two of those are H.264 profiles, one standard definition and the other high definition. You can slightly modify the conversion profiles. There is a video player that you can use to preview your files, but, in all honesty, you are better off not using it. It can rarely play video files without problems.

I like that the application shows the CPU usage and that you can configure it to prevent the computer from hibernating or sleeping while a conversion is in progress. In my testing, I was able to convert a high-def MKV file into a high-def H.264 file with no problems. The resulting file played wonderfully in my video player, and it should too on the iPad.
